Are you confused about where the two biggest parties stand on Brexit?
From Theresa May’s petulant speech in Salzburg to the contradictory messages coming out of Labour party conference, there’s a lack of agreement, principle or vision.
I am glad to be in a party that is united in demanding a People’s Vote on the outcome of the Brexit negotiations.
Our Political Programme calls for a People’s Vote, Green MEP Molly Scott Cato has powerfully challenged Labour to stop fudging and I wrote yesterday in the Guardian about the importance of a positive campaign that doesn’t ignore the communities that have been utterly neglected by the Westminster elite.
Freedom of movement, a hard border in Ireland, human rights and crucial environmental protections were not on the ballot two years ago. Democracy didn’t end on 23rd June 2016. We demand a People’s Vote and the option to stay part of the EU.
I have never been more optimistic that this case can be won. Join us and make it happen.
Yours in hope,
Caroline Lucas MP
PS. March on 20th October with the only party united in calling for a People’s Vote.
