At the last Community & Resources committee meeting of Torridge, councillors heard that the government has awarded us £1 million over the next 3 years to replace funding we used to get from the EU.
Curious as to how the figures compared I asked the council officers. Unfortunately exact numbers weren’t immediately available but I was told that the government figure is definitely far less than what we used to get – so, simply put, voting for Brexit lost Torridge money.
